About Knudsen Vineyards

Knudsen Vineyards is an iconic vineyard in the heart of the acclaimed Dundee Hills AVA overlooking the fertile Willamette Valley, majestic Mt. Hood and the North Cascade mountain range. Our family has grown grapes and made wine here for 50 years.

The vineyard was established in 1971 by our parents, Cal and Julia Lee Knudsen, true pioneers of Oregon’s wine industry. Mom and Dad loved this place and derived great pleasure from sharing our grapes and wine with friends and family. As second generation stewards of Knudsen Vineyards, we embrace our family’s legacy and honor our parents by making great wine reflecting the unique attributes of our land.

Our goal is to produce exceptional quality, distinctive Pinot noir and Chardonnay wines. The formula is straight-forward. We care for our land and vines by practicing sustainable viticulture. We cultivate to optimize fruit quality through diversity in vine age, clonal breadth, exposure and elevation. Our grapes possess a richness of flavor and complexity unique to our vines, Jory soil and location. Our winemaking is designed to capture this singularity and present elegant wines expressive of this terroir.

Please join us on our grape growing and winemaking journey and enjoy our wines for their pure expression of our land, fruit and family.

Accolades

94, Wine Spectator

Handsome and polished, with multilayered raspberry and tart blueberry flavors that take on orange peel and dusky spice accents, which build tension toward medium-grained tannins. Drink now through 2032. -Tim Fish

93, “Editor’s Choice” – Wine Enthusiast

“The wine’s dark cherry and raspberry aromas are surrounded by a bundle of sweet-scented phlox and lavender. Bright red cherry fruit is nice, especially when paired with silky tannins and a laser beam of acidity. But the figs and peppery edible nasturtiums are the stuff of flavor memories.” — Michael Alberty
