Tasting notes:

A vibrant Pinot Gris with bright notes of citrus and stone fruit, complemented by delicate floral notes of jasmine and chamomile, showing good weight and texture with exotic lychee and tropical star fruit alongside crisp apple and juicy peach, all lifted by lively acidity

Food pairings!

Bright acidity, citrus, and stone fruit flavors make this Oregon Pinot Gris incredibly versatile at the table. Pair it with fresh oysters, grilled shrimp, sushi, halibut, or salmon, where the wine’s crisp minerality and lively texture shine. It is equally lovely with spring vegetables, goat cheese, lemony pasta dishes, roast chicken, or lighter creamy sauces. The floral and orchard fruit notes also make it a natural fit for Thai dishes, fresh herbs, and mildly spicy foods.

From Them to You!

Founded in 1998 by visionary winemaker Jimi Brooks, Brooks Wine has become one of the Willamette Valley’s most beloved producers, known for elegant, terroir-driven wines and a deep commitment to biodynamic farming. Located in Oregon, Brooks focuses on expressive, balanced wines that reflect the cool climate and volcanic soils of the region. After Jimi Brooks’ sudden passing in 2004, the winery was carried forward by his sister Janie Brooks Heuck and a close-knit community of Oregon winemakers, helping cement Brooks as both a pioneering and deeply respected name in Oregon wine.

Today, Brooks is internationally recognized for its sustainability efforts, with certified biodynamic estate vineyards and a philosophy centered on stewardship of the land, low-intervention winemaking, and hospitality. Their wines — especially Riesling, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Gris — are celebrated for their energy, precision, and sense of place.

PINOT NOIR ESTATE HYLAND VINEYARD SOLENA OREGON

(Carefully curated notes below are taken from the producer’s website)

Varietal 100% Pinot Noir

Location McMinnville AVА, Oregon

Drink Now or Cellar? Drink now or cellar through 2037

Tasting notes:

Hyland Vineyard, planted in 1971, is one of the oldest in the Willamette Valley. It produces

renowned wines ranked among the best in the world. This bottling has an expressive nose full

of plum skin, blueberry, cardamom, and honeyed chevre. The palate has bright and

refreshing flavors of raspberry and red cherry bunches, with a touch of sea breeze and a

satin-smooth mouthfeel.

Food pairings!

Silky and elegant, this Oregon Pinot Noir shines alongside dishes that highlight its bright red fruit, earthy spice, and graceful texture. Pair it with roast chicken, cedar plank salmon, duck breast, mushroom risotto, pork tenderloin, or herb-roasted turkey, where the wine’s acidity and savory depth bring balance and lift. Earthy flavors like wild mushrooms, truffle dishes, and roasted root vegetables are especially beautiful matches, while creamy cheeses such as Brie, Gruyère, or Camembert complement the wine’s soft texture and subtle oak spice. It is the kind of Pinot Noir that feels equally at home at a holiday table or beside a simple roast chicken on a rainy Northwest evening.

From Them to You!

Soléna is a combination of Spanish and French words Solana and Soleil, celebrating the sun, the moon and cycles of life. We were launched in May of 2000 when our owners purchased our 80-acre estate which became the Domaine Danielle Laurent vineyard. Furthering their successful careers in the Oregon wine industry, Laurent Montalieu and Danielle Andrus gifted this vineyard to each other for their wedding, and began making wine under the label named Soléna after their daughter. Soléna Estate showcases the beauty of terroir in our site-specific wines. We craft delicious wine from our own estate vineyards in Yamhill-Carlton and McMinnville AVAs, as well as iconic single-vineyards around the Northwest. We’re well known for consistent, ageable Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, and Cabernet Sauvignon. However, our entrepreneurial spirit means we keep expanding our offerings. Visit our picturesque vineyard and tasting room in Yamhill, Oregon and raise a glass to celebrate life!
