Art Walk at West Seattle Cellars on September 8, 2016
West Seattle Art Walk + Free Wine Tasting this Thursday, September 8, 2016
This coming Thursday, West Seattle’s monthly Art Walk coincides with our free Thursday tasting… offering a perfect way to taste a delicious line-up of wines while you enjoy a new display of artwork. Here are the details:
Time: 5:30 to 9:00 pm
Where: 6026 California Avenue SW, Seattle, WA 98136
Wines: Wines from France’s Loire Valley
Artist: Shirley Rudolf
From the Artist:
My lifelong dream was to paint with watercolors so I took six years of semi-private lessons from an accomplished artist in the area where I lived. My paintings reflect “me,” my confidence and expression through the use of vibrant colors and captured details. They encompass a wide range of subjects—floral, landscapes, and animals.
In the last nine years I have found another medium I enjoy painting with—acrylics. It’s been a real challenge adjusting from watercolors to acrylics, but over time, even though watercolor is my first love, I LOVE acrylics. Occasionally, I dabble in Pop Art as I love Andy Warhol’s simplicity.
Through the years, I have exhibited as a featured artist or in group shows with private and artist-owned galleries, wineries and tasting rooms, financial institutions, legal and medical offices, and a variety of corporations and proprietorships throughout California and Washington.
Below is a foretaste of what we’ll have on view at West Seattle Cellars this Thursday:
