Tasting Notes

Création Brut is lively, elegant and beautifully balanced. Fine, persistent bubbles carry aromas of crisp green apple, lemon zest, pear, white peach and citrus blossom alongside notes of toasted brioche, roasted almonds and chalky minerality. The palate is energetic and precise, with bright acidity supporting flavors of orchard fruit, Meyer lemon and subtle pastry cream. The finish is dry, refreshing and wonderfully refined, leaving lingering impressions of citrus and fresh-baked bread. It is a classic grower Champagne that emphasizes purity, finesse and terroir over richness alone.

Food Pairings

Champagne’s versatility makes this wine an ideal aperitif, but it also pairs beautifully with oysters, crab cakes, sushi, fried chicken, smoked salmon and creamy cheeses. It complements everything from popcorn and potato chips to lobster, making it one of the most food-friendly wines in the world. It is especially enjoyable with celebrations, seafood and lighter hors d’oeuvres.

Producer

Gonde-Rousseaux is a family-owned grower-producer in Champagne, meaning the family farms its own vineyards and crafts wines from estate-grown fruit rather than purchasing grapes from across the region. This hands-on approach allows the winery to emphasize the unique character of its vineyards while maintaining meticulous quality from vine to bottle. Their Champagnes balance traditional methods with modern precision, producing wines of freshness, elegance and remarkable value
